आज २६ औँ भूकम्प सुरक्षा दिवस (भूकम्पबाट बच्ने १० उपाय सहित)
काठमाडौँ- विस १९९० को विनासकारी भूकम्पबाट पाठ सिकेर सुरक्षित आवास निर्माण र सम्भावित भूकम्पीय जोखिम न्यूनीकरणबारे सामाजिक सचेतना अभिवृद्धि गर्ने उद्देश्यका साथ हरेक वर्ष भूकम्प सुरक्षा दिवस मनाइँदै आएको छ ।
भूकम्पले क्षति पुर्याएका संरचनाको पुनः निर्माण र भूकम्पको जोखिम न्यूनीकरणका लागि सरकार, सरोकारवाला निकाय र संघसंस्थाले दिवसलाई जागरण फैलाउने लक्ष्यका साथ विभिन्न कार्यक्रम गर्दै आएका छन् । यसै सन्दर्भमा ‘स्थानीय स्रोत र प्रविधि समेतको प्रयोग गरौँ, भूकम्प थेग्ने संरचना बनाऔँ ’ भन्ने मूल नाराका साथ २६ औँ भूकम्प सुरक्षा दिवस– २०८० विभिन्न कार्यक्रमको आयोजना गरी मनाउन लागिएकाे छ ।
विसं १९९० माघ २ गते गएको विनाशकारी भूकम्पको सम्झनामा २०५५ सालदेखि हरेक वर्ष भूकम्प सुरक्षा दिवस मनाइँदै आएको छ । उक्त दिन दिउँसो २ः२४ बजे गएको ८.४ म्याग्निच्युडको भूकम्पले जनधनको ठूलो क्षति पुर्याएको थियो । राष्ट्रिय भूकम्प मापन तथा अनुसन्धान केन्द्रका वरिष्ठ भूकम्पविद् लोक विजय अधिकारीका अनुसार विस १९९० को भूकम्पमा परी आठ हजार पाँच सय १९ जनाको मृत्यु भएको थियो ।
असी हजार घर ध्वस्त भएका थिए । ध्वस्तघरसहित घर, विद्यालय, देवालय र पार्टीपौवा तथा सार्वजनिक भवनसमेत गरी २ लाख ७ हजार दुई सय ४८ संरचना भत्किएको थियो । यसैगरी विसं २०७२ वैशाख १२ गतेको गोरखा भूकम्पमा परी आठहजार छ सय ७० जनाको निधन भएको थियो भने सातलाख भन्दा बढी आवासमा क्षति पुगेको थियो ।
